Product description
The AP 66/400 scope has a two-element objective lens with an ED element. This ED glass suppresses the lenses’ distracting dispersion so that looking through the telescope produces a high-contrast image with no colour fringe. Especially when observing the Moon and the bright planets Jupiter and Saturn, but also in nature photography and observations, this is incredibly comfortable.
The optical lens tube, with its short focal length, is relatively lightweight and comes in a sturdy aluminium case. This makes this instrument ideal for travel or as part of your photographic equipment.
Its wide visual field is optimal for observing, and especially photographing, large areas of the sky. The telescope has a Crayford focuser, which enables uniform and precise focusing.
Carbon lens tube: The classic black carbon lens tube saves weight. This not only makes transportation easier but also takes load off the mount. At the same time, the thermal expansion coefficient of carbon fibre is considerably smaller than that of aluminium or steel. This makes the telescope’s focus much more stable when is comes to changes in temperature.
It is not only important which telescope you buy, but also where you buy it.
